The BrightStar Foundation supports promising educational initiatives in the New York metropolitan region, and provides scholarship support to deserving students with a demonstrated combination of academic, athletic and service commitment.

As its first philanthropic activity, the BrightStar Foundation has sought to acknowledge graduating high school students whose achievements demonstrated the potential for making notable and sustainable contributions to society in the future. We are happy to report that we have awarded scholarships each year since 1998, paying nominated students an annual stipend toward their collegiate academic expenses.

In addition, the foundation has become an active donor of books to schools in the region. SInce 2000, we have donated hundreds of books to schools in Connecticut and New Jersey. We are looking to expand that initiative in 2007. WE have also supported college internships at the University of Connecticut.
